INSTITUTE IS BACK!

Hey Instituties!   

Institute has started up again!  It began on September 6th with a kickoff featuring Brother Brent Top and a catered meal from Cafe Rio!  For those who missed the last two weeks of institute, don't fret, because you can just show up on Thursday night and you will immediately be spiritually uplifted, make new friends, and have amazing treats! 

This semester we have amazing teachers and classes.  There are now FOUR classes offered on Thursday night: Preparing for Eternal Marriage, Teachings of the Living Prophets, Doctrine and Covenants, and a new class called Principles of Leadership!     

President Monson has asked us to "Make Institute a Priority!"  Please make the effort to come and attend Institute.  It will be every Thursday Night at 7:30 at the Manavu Chapel (400 E. 600N.).

Institute is ON!

Dear Instituties,
There will be institute this week, despite the break in school. Trust me, after your long week of grueling finals and hours spent in the library and testing center you will need the spiritual uplift, at least I know I will!  Come and get a breath of fresh air, enjoy the thoughts and inspiration of the spirit and make new friends while you're at it.

Same time, same place.  See ya there!

Spring/Summer Kick-Off

That's right fellow 12th Stake members, Institute is back for the summer and we are excited to see all of you! As many of you have already been informed, the kick-off on May 3 will feature some delicious, cooked on the spot, chicken marsala, breadsticks and fetuccini alfredo catered by Carrabbas! Mmm! Also, we will have amazing speakers, Elder and Sister Jarman who have been training missionaries all over the world in MTC locations as well as being called to serve as mission presidents.

Come and enjoy the fellowship and food this Thursday and 7:30 pm at the Manavu Chapel (600 N 400 E) in Provo!

We would suggest bringing BLANKETS if you plan on staying for food because it will be served outside and there will be a good chance you will be sitting on the ground.

We will also have the parking lot roped off as a serving area so, all parking for this week will be on the streets around the chapel and walking may prove to be an easier and quicker way to come to institute! Our council is excited to see you all this week, thanks for making Institute great!

Why is Institute Important?

"If you are a single college student, I ask you to make participation in institute a priority. Married students and other young adults are also welcome and encouraged to attend. Think of it. Friends will be made, the Spirit will be felt, and faith will be strengthened. I promise you that as you participate in institute and study the scriptures diligently, your power to avoid temptation and to receive direction of the Holy Ghost in all you do will be increased. Divine favor will attend those who humbly seek it. That is a promise which I leave with you." - President Thomas S. Monson (April 21, 2009)
